Im going to have to find something mighty small. Maybe not so "mighty" ... But I definetly wont give him something to big. He has trouble with a piece of krill the size of a dime.

I know! I cant wait to have a puffer that big one day. I just dont want to buy one though, I want to see it grow to be that large.

Absolutely!! Watching your fishies grow is what it's all about! I'm so atattched to Kaleeko because of that though, he was super skinny and in really bad condition when we got them!

My gsp is only about 1.5" with its tail. It doesnt take much to fill his belly, and I dont want him to pop!

And Lisa, it seems that the fish is a bigger part of your family if you watch it grow. If you just go buy one, its not the same. Plus, why pay more for a puffer that is bigger when it has less time to live than a smaller puffer that is smaller?!? At my LFS, they have a huge porcupine puffer, way over 8-10 inches and they want $150 for him! Thats a lot for a fish that has alot less life left than a 1" puffer. Just my .02 though.

Certainly I agree 110% !

It just makes me feel like Im getting a lot better deal on a smaller fish. It makes my purchase more justified a.k.a. its an excuse for me not to feel bad for buying fish.

The only local store out here that sells Mbu puffer's is selling them for $250!
Which is insane! That's so expensive. & It's even for a baby!

We got outs for $40 from a friend of ours who orders in fishies from a supplier of his.
So we got a steal pretty much. But we also weren't sure if he was going to make it either!
I'm glad we took the risk!

I always prefer to buy my fish whey they are young. Filbert was 1" when I got him.

I give Pookie the super worms on very rare occasions..and i'm glad since they can cause problems : ()

somehow Jabba ate this cray an it was 2 x her size, there was some parts of exo but for most part it was gone. she looks like a blimp lol./
