Mine didn't get too big but he smelt soooo bad.

I kept mine out in the back yard in a Koi pond that he promptly turned in to his own pond, no more Koi (I didn't think that one through all the way!). I kept him out there through the winter and he went through hibernation cycles and everything. I looked for a female for him but always had trouble catching one that was mature enough to breed (I like having 10 fingers). I wish I had the space in the back yard to have one again.

Knowing you, I would go for a heavier planted tank with one male irrubesco or with a sand bottom tank with a nice lurker like a congo or a nice Fangs...(provided your mom lets you keep the food for them).

*clears throught* Um, yes. I'd love a single irrubesco, and I'm in the process of planting it. A congo would also be cool, especially a beautiful red or olive green one. Now I have to rethink this...

What do you mean provided your mom lets you keep the food for them? I already have bloodworms.

Okay, here's the plan.

5 gallon~ Planted, with cherry shrimp, (I could breed them and feed extras to them) MTS's, a couple white clouds, and a very good light.

10 gallon~ Bullet and Bug

30 gallon~ Congo or irrubesco, now I can't decide. A congo would be very interesting, and plus I'd get sand, but an irrubesco would probably be easier. But I think I'm up to either of them.

Oooh, a Fangs sounds nice too. Very sociable and active, that's good. I get annoyed by glace pacing. They're pretty too.

Nothing! I forgot about him. Shame, shame on me!! Hmmm, where would he go... I do have another 10 gallon down in the basement, maybe I could get my parents to let me set that up.
