Thank you for your condolences, schismy007 + redspotowner!
Thankfully I found a really good figure 8 puffer (Chowder) who reminds me of Speck with his cute behaviors!

If you ever get another F8 as a friend for Chowder, don't be surprised if he shuns her, saying, "I'M NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND!" (Kids' show called Chowder. ) Seriously- Congrats on Chowder- !
I LOVE Chowder! Shnitzels my favorate character. That show ROCKS!!

Ouch, sorry PP Filbert I guess I'm not too surprised was OK - I bet the shallows in the Nile and it's tributaries regularly get to 100 deg F, while the deeper areas might be in the 60's... and the clown loaches are from Southeast Asia, right? That's all right around the equator, so I'd guess things get really toasty in the shallows for them, too.

Haha! Awesome!
Actually I DID name my puffers after the show Chowder!
My GSP, aka his 'not-girlfriend,' Panini, is sick and in serious recovery from an apparently immune-to-Parasite-Clear parasite..
Schnitzel is what I named my electric yellow cichlid who lived with them (and is now back in the downstairs tank with the rest of the cichlids)
Chowder lives with me on campus and is very happy- and I am very happy to have him with me <3
Thanks everyone for your happiness support!
and wish me luck with Panini

Thanks Nick, that would make sense then. The others who survived were the large Frontosa & the huge plecos, a large yellow-finned chalcius, in addition to all those guppies, who were breeding for my Rhinopias, whom my tube anemone ate... So now I'm gonna have a tankfull of guppies in there, because there's no way to catch them!
