When my male dwarf puffer swallowed air, I held him completely underwater and pressed his belly, and I thought I did it pretty hard. He's fine now and has no problems!

Oops, sorry, I missed the 'she passing away' part. I'm so sorry!! I had a female dwarf puffer die just recently, and it made me very sad.
