The dots on his skin are good things! Puffers have spines (as mentioned a few times above) that they use for self-defense when they puff up. I have an Abei that looks a lot like yours, and his spines look almost identical to yours.

So, no need to worry about them, and no need to wish them away, either!

She said she hopes the dots on his fin go away.
