Have you tried treating her for a bacteria infection? At this point I don't think it would hurt and it might actually help.

she is on her last legs now but no other fish are showing illness and currently there are stingrays and clown loaches im sure if there was a outbreak of nasty bacteria they would show symptoms also

I am so sorry to hear about this situation and i know that you obvoiously love your puffer.
Have you considered Euthinasia for the poor thing? Is it suffering though? I don't know but i seems to be going on for some time and it may just put you both out of your misery.
Didn't mean to come accross horrible but am thinking of you both mate.

i have considered it shes not allert atall but she isnt stressed or thrashing so in the meantime im leaving her alone. itsa horrible situation yesterday a guy from a lfs came over he is of the opinion she has a tumor which would explain the blood in her eyes balance and such a sudden fall from health. the other fish in her tank are perfect condition its a crying shame though

she passed away this morning in my hands. a healthy 13" im so so upset. looking at her teeth they were split in two places she has had one hell of a bump. thought i would let you guys know

Ohhh so sorry to hear of your loss, we do understand they are our pets . You gave her a great life and did take the best care of her.

Very very sorry it turned out this way, Dan. I kept hoping as I was reading the thread that it would all turn out fine, so it was very saddening to hear she passed.

she was practically blind towards the end with fluid in her eyes. once she was gone i had a good look in her mouth her teeth were broke to hell i have never seen her freak but she must of at some point. she went peacefully enough she did thrash her tail a bit as soon as i held her she calmed down i usto stoke her a lot so she knew it was me and then she was gone. was like she was waiting for me before she went this morning. was a long long drive to work today mind.

anyway i have decided. i only recently purchased a 8x3x3 which she was going into in the summer. the 6x2 she is in now is going to be converted into a central sump which ill run my 8x4 / new 8x3 off and ill get another mbu later tjhis year / next. Ill use the space now to split my trimacs (flowerhorns) and jags up and pair some off. might even allow my acaras to breed the male (in my sig) is lovely so hell have good fry.

im still going to thin out my stock otherwise it will be a nightmare making a central system and drilling those big tanks having to move lots of stock. chin up ey.

Thanks for your warm messages guys. im going to make a montage of her from 1.5" - now. ill probably post it here in a few days. i still have bubz mind but he is so so lazy in his old age. he doesnt welcome me like she did every night well unless he wanted something haha

I'm sorry to hear about Cutie Pie, but I'm SO GLAD you're not quitting! You might contact lilgirlkat about her mbu - she wants to find another home for it in a year or so.

Are you staying with the fish keeping now.? Saw an add you posted on Aquarist classifieds selling your fish. Hope you have decided to stick with it despite everything.
