Back when i worked for one of my lfs, they fed mostly krill, brine shrimp, bloodworms (fw side), seaweed, and once a week the hikari veggie mix. I asked them why they didn't feed a larger variety of foods. It came down to costs for them. They didn't feed things like mysis, clams, or squid because they don't have the large 2 lb frozen slabs of mysis shrimp, and clams and squid aren't generally accepted by all fish. They chose to feed krill over prawns because they felt that the prawns were too small and they could feed the larger fish only a few pieces instead of mulitple pieces. Also (as i noticed) for those needing to be fed on a feeding stick, the prawns didn't really go on the stick easily and fell apart quickly while the larger krill went on the stick nicely.
i'm busy thinking of ways to remember what i was going to say
