Just my two cents (please dont shout at me!) I have only just come into the wonderful world of puffers and everyone has been absolutely wonderful at being patient answering my questions and the whole..I like f8s wait porcupine..no wait F8..now its a GSP!
Long story short, my dream puffer is a porcupine, but being inexperienced and not having the finance to get a tank that big going, I will wait, have a great learning curve with the planned GSP in my 50gallon tank and go from there.
(Though me and the BF have planned a 40l next year with some dwarf puffers already! But this is a firm year's time, so we can enjoy our time with a GSP). I do think puffertt does take the advice and very well, luckily we have loads of excellent experts on here in all areas of pufferdom.
All the best puffertt, can not wait to see the upgrade for Naboo

I just want to say, being a puffer owner that is about to move as well, i'm glad i decided to wait till i move into my new apartment to get my larger tanks setup, since in all honesty, i dread to imagine how difficult it would be to move and re-setup a large tank... so that maybe something you want to keep in mind when you move...
But i must admit, i can't wait to see what your 1000 - 1400Gallon tank is going to look like once its done, and especially with Naboo in it, since he'll probably still be dwarfed by such a big tank???

I cannot wait either, all this talk about it really makes me want it so much more
I've already decided which fish are going to be in it to help clean up etc, I was thinking for a 1400g 10ftx4ftx4ft:-
10 Clown loaches (They clean up the gravel really well and will get to a nice size)
clown loaches.jpg
30 Cory (Corydoras) Catfish, all different types (also great for keeping the place clean)
Cory Corydoras Catfish.jpg
40 Guppy's - All the one's I have and maybe 2 or 3 of each kind/colour and then 2 females for each male (I already have a load of female babies). I'm going to have some floating plants so that the babies can hide and survive in them as I'm not going to be able to save them or keep up with the females giving birth
guppy+strains.jpg
4 Plecostomus to keep the glass and surfaces clean, I already have a Albino

Royal Plec.jpg
Gold Stripe Panaque plec.jpg
golden nugget plec.jpg
3 more South American Puffers (So Bollo can school with them)

And finally Naboo of course

I love my plecos. I used to have about 30 different species. Still have a 12" goldspot, a large Sailfin & a 6" Royal, jn addition to all the smaller species in my disacus tank. some are getting large enought that they may have to be moved into the larger tank soon though, like the red'finned one. Many I never ever see, like the most $$$ one, the Bluespot.

If I go for 10ftx4ftx4ft that's 1200ukg which works out to 1441usg

Yeah that's why I like cory's because they play together playing follow the leader and doing loop the loops up and down the tank with each other. I'm not to sure what otto's are, A lot of people seem to talk about them. I'll have a google now
With that many cory's I'd have a little carpet of fish that move across the gravel hoovering up for me

lol nightmares when he's sleeping
Yeah it sounds like your Mbu is one of the ones that's a little more aggressive, I've already got 5 corydoras and 3 of them are tiny. I put the 3 tiny peppered cory in there with no problem, I then put the bronze cory in a week later with no problem and 2mins later Naboo came to the top of the tan k thinking the lid was open because he was gona get fed and as I put the albino/flesh coloured cory in it jumped out of the net and splashed in next to Naboo who thought it was grub so went for it. The cory got away and sat on the bottom, Naboo went to investigate it and had a good look/float round it and realised it wasn't food and has taken no notice since. When I feed all the fish bloodworms all the cory's swim around him and under him so I don't think I'll have any trouble with Naboo. When he's 2.5ft we'll have to see if he changes his mind about what's food, but hopefully because his been brought up with small fish around him he'll be fine

Strangely enough all other fishes he is fine with (and the shrimp), just the ground-dwelling ones like the eel and corys he's had any problem with. Saying that he doesn't actually eat them its more tasting as he spat it back out and sulked after each time he did it as if he knew he'd done something wrong
I've actually had a baby swordtail bully Winston once lol! Had to take it to the LFS as it wouldn't leave him alone - jumped out of the isolation box I'd put it in and everything!
he was scared of something a hundred times smaller than himself
