Thanks everyone, it was rather heart breaking. I ran bleach through her old tank and then drained it, so I'm sitting here looking at an empty tank
I buried her in a little plastic blue box in the window well. We're going to make a 'Fletcher Memorial Home' for her.
I miss my little girl.....

Awww..What are you going to do with the tank?
Use it as a sump for the 80gallon?
I would maybe put the dp's in there. They would be happy.

Yeah, I plan to move my DPs over there. Maybe get one or two more.

I would get maybe one more.

I'm very very sorry you lost your little puffer. I felt very sad reading all the postings. But I wanted to tell you that I have two GSP's in a brackish tank. They seem fine, but every once in a while, I catch one of them on the bottom, with their tail curled around and the first time we seen it doing that, we thought it was going to die. But I've seen that one doing that a couple of times already, the last time I was bringing food and as soon as I put the bloodworm in the water, it came up from the bottom and started swimming as if nothing were wrong. I honestly don't know what it is. What you described sounded alot like what my one GSP does, although it's not skinny and not sunken in looking, on the contrary these were very fat little puffers when I got them and they are still fat!
I know it doesn't help you, as you've lost your loved puffer, but I just thought I'd let you know that mine are doing something similar to what yours was doing -- for what it's worth.

This is typical behaviour for Pufferfish when they are in an agitated state.
Can be hostility, feeding time or just insecurity.
No health issues at all, just a Pufferfish doing what Pufferfish does.
It issues a warning, and is ready to either attack or flee.

You might want to observe the tank "after dark" in order to spot potential hostility between the two GSPs.
