There has to be something said about Japanese ingenuity. Who would have thought massaged boozed up cows would taste sooo good. I know that is over simplifying things since there is a lot more to the Tajima strain than just that.....but oh my goodness.....drooooooooooooooollllllll.....

Yeah, they said that the beer and massage might just be a placebo. The taste and marbeling is all in the genetics.

Hahaha! No doubt. Although, I used to use beer to make American chili. A Texan told me that it keeps the meat soft when you brown it. It really worked. Maybe there is something to it?

hmmm....something I have to try....I normally do not use beer in my cooking...go with wine or champagne....

No. I do not think they serve fugu or fugu parts in America but I heard that it is quite delicious from friends in Japan. I am not a big drinker either so unless they could give me some non-alcoholic fugu I may have to sit out. :lol:

Most people here have not tried it either. It doesn't sound like it tastes good.

Once you have had enough alcohol,.....almost anything tastes good. But.....Elevator aint gonna lose a fin for anything like that.....

Dont worry about hijacking....as the OP, I like exploring new avenues, and this has been an interesting thread...and entertaining for me anyways...

Chin.....have you been reading the "Julians Childish Words" Dictionary? Its how I grade restaurants...they get a grade of hmmph, nom, nom nom, and om nom nom.....no, not a typo...om nom nom.
