Have you offered it live worms? Force-feeding is very tricky. It involves pureeing several meaty foods, along with vitamin B12 & fish multi-vitamins vitamins. Then putting a tube in the puffer's throat & pushing the food through a syringe to feed it.

How did you try treating it for IPs & for how long? Where are you located?

OK, that might help but really, internal parasites should be treated internally. Are you using it every day (or whatever the directions say)?

Have you tried soaking it's food in garlic? What did the guy you got it from say it was eating for him?

Earthworms are the ultimate temptation.

What have you tried since we last spoke? Water parameters? Water change? Garlic?

PP do you think a fahaka could have made it in an uncycled aquarium this long?

This is probably why it won't eat. I can't get any parameters out of this guy though.

i was thinking if the tank wasnt cycled that it prob would have died by now, i guess if the tanks very large or if he has being doing water changes maybe it could make it through an un cycled tank, and just not eat, but otherwise im thinking a cycled tank and IP. wish we could get those parameters!

It could live if the puffer was pretty hardy. It would just be suffering a bit :(

Maybe he doesn't have a test kit. You'd be surprised how many members of this forum and others (AC, MFK, etc.) don't have one, or do and don't use it.
