Weird GSP Behavior?

Cyanide collection can have terrible effects, I believe the last two batches of GSP my store got were collected that way Little guys, all torn up, dark, and not able to start or keep eating.

Aww thats so terrible. I know sometimes it makes me wonder why I want wild caught fish. I feel so bad about my two little puffers. I have one sick one and a dead one . I don't even know if Scar is sick I mean he is still eating really well but his belly only stays full for a few hours, does this mean he has ips? I have treated the tank with general cure and I just got the prazipro should I does the tank with that? I mean he has a little bulge but not a very big belly. He is swimming ariund every once in a while, maybe he is tired I mean I did see him yawn about an hour or so ago, Should I turn off the light and let him relax or does it really matter to him?

General cure does not work at all in my expereince. I tried it on puffers at work regularly, and it never seems to have had any effect at all. I am not sure why, praziquantel is effective on worms. If you do get prazipro, you should dose in a bath, having your puffer in a small tank for two or 3 hours with that medicine is just as effective as adding it to the tank. I have heard of people having decent luck dosing the tank with jungle tank buddies fizz tabs for internal parasites.

most meds are wasted in a whole tank dose. I use the Jungle brand, cause that's all I have locally. I soak the food though for all IP treatments.

Well I have never done a bath what should I do, just get a small container and use a cap full of prazipro? He almost seems like he is guarding something because he is always in the same spot and has dug a little hole maybe he is a she and has laid some eggs. I don't think thats it as I can see nothing in the hole but the puffer.

My ex's puffer Puffy likes to sit in a depression he makes in the sand, for no reason as far as I can tell. He has always enjoyed sitting there, resting, when not begging for food, doing a quick round of the tank, or exercising for a few minutes in his favorite corner.

I don't have sand in the tank I have gravel. When he sits in this little hole he turns really light and has really shallow breathing and then when I walk by he perks right up or at least swims away from the movement. I guess he is just being normal.

So an update on my puffer.. he is still alive yay! He is becoming more active and swimming a lot more. He still likes his little hole but now he is begging for food and his color is better when he is active, he still turns gray when he is "relaxing". Its funny when he sees food in the tank, he will wait for it to fall to the bottom to eat it. He doesn't like to eat the food when it is floating in the water, which makes it harder for me if there is any food left in the tank (which isn't often) but I thinks thats weird he used to love chasing the food now he swims around watching the food fall and then attacks it in the bottom.

Well thats good, he seems to be doing much better I guess I was just overly worried!
