I find frozen bloodworms the easiest food to feed them though.

So it looks like I persuaded my mom to let me get that 1g tank that was suggested for the snails. After I get that set up and the snails in there, I will get two more otos for the 5g. After they have settled in, I will get the puffer.
Then I will have a 1g for snails and a 5g for two otos and a puffer. Sound good? Thanks for all the help! I'll get pictures when I get the puffer!

Turns out Petco doesn't have snails. (most of the time)
They don't have dwarf puffers either.
I'm going to Pets Inc. next to see what they have.

BUT!
Instead of getting another tank, couldn't I just put the snails in my 20g and then feed random ones to the puffer? I'll have enough room for them (once the tetras are sold.)
What do you think about that?

if there are no fish that eat snails in the 20 G tank, it could work, but be warn that they breed like crazy! So you might end up with more snails than you can handle (but then, you feed them to the puffer!).

I don't own oto's but the little research I have done on them say those tiny cute algae eaters need a min 10-30g tank. Depends on what site you go to.

StormySkiez: I already have two otos. I'll probably get two more for the 5g though, because my 20g (where they are in now) has algae too.

Swordtail nip at them like mollies do, don't hurt the population much tho.

Another question:
When I clean the tank, would/could the puffer bite me? Idk, just wondering...

They never bite me but i guess he knows who i am which is NOT *FOOD* but dont take my word for it. Its just my puffer.

possibly, but at that size it won't hurt at all. my gsp bites my finger if I take his food away.

get it at petco for FREE!! Trust me..ask them about the pest snail they have in their tanks...they be happy to give u a few..next thing you know from that few they will mutiple now you'll get a kingdom of ramshorn snails!!
