Baby Ceylons + Molly = ?

My roommate agreed to take the balloon mollies, but I'm a bit sketchy on trying to introduce *another* fish into my aquarium, only to have him brutally maimed.

My I'll try it in a couple weeks when I tear the whole tank down and redecorate (as it might have been a territory issue, who knows). I'm pretty sure, though, that Pickles just likes his space.

Just posting a picture of one of my mollies, this black female one has a greeny silver colour on her head. I hope you can notice it... my photo has low-quality!



Paul - Try to change the aquascape then add your mollies first instead your ceylons. Who knows your ceylons start to respect your mollies!

Actually, there's still one in there that I can't catch because she's pretty quick and knows how to hide. I saw her today, and none of her fins seem to have any nipping, and the Ceylons don't seem to attack her like they did the others (at least not yet), so I think she might have adapted enough to fit in.

I agree that it was probably the territory issue. Stupid me, I completely forgot about it, otherwise I would have removed the puffers, rearranged the tank, added the mollies, and then put in the puffers at the end to ease tension.

Live and learn, I s'pose.
