What is the life cycle of ich.. something like 3 weeks? You can speed it up with heat, but I think I would keep the salt in there for at least 3-4 weeks after the last sign of any parasites has disappeared.

aah ok I'll do that then, the temp is running at 29C so I will wait a while before I dilute the salt out then

So glad he's feeling better! Ich has a 21 day ife cycle but I'd go for a good month to be sure. Are you giving him Melafix too?

yeah but boy is it expensive, I get through the large bottle a week due to the amount of water being changed at the mo. I know its wort it though, just means less beer for me

Are you using the pond variety? If not, its definitely cheaper because its concentrated and a little bit goes a looong way. Same stuff, too.
