my g.s.p is called lou! as the day i brought him neighbours was on the tv when i was putting him into the tank then when i say lou carpenter i thought to myself he looks just like a g.s.p! very weird i know but next time your watching it look at lou carpenters round head and happy face! a puffer in discuise i think

When I first bought my dwarf puffers they were as small as my fingernail. One was darker, and one lighter, so I named them Cricket and Aphid.
In my family, pet names are never permanent though.
I initially named my terrier Beowulf because of his uncontrollable barking, but it got changed to Ferdinand when it became obvious that his favorite thing to do was sit and stare at the flowers. Then it became Gunther when he developed a favor for peices of apple.
My mom's Rott/Chow mix was named Isaac, and became Simon because of his short attention span.

As a rule, my fish are almost always named after other types of animal....my brothers' fault really...

Thats funny that you keep renaming your pets. I have a Bichon and I named her Snowy because she is white I know I am so creative! Then I tried to name her Roxi. And after a week of calling her that I realized that she wasn't going to come to that not that she listens anyway! I tried naming all my puffers after greek gods but then I liked the first puffers names so much that I didn't want to change them. We also have a min pin named Zeus because he thinks he is the king! I had a gsp named Apollo, Juno, and Kilo, but my new gsp is named Rolly because she is so fat and she reminds me of that fat puppy on 101 dalmations!

My F8 Puffer's name is Nibbler.

My GSPs are Spot and Stripe, and my Figure 8 Puffer is 8-ball.

Our Mbu's called Moobo!

I just got a small f8 and named it Kirby.

Think Kirby the vacuum cleaner because he sucks up food like one

OR

Kirby from Super Smash Brothers because he eats any and everything just like the character.

Either way, this guy's two specialties are eating large quantities of food and begging for food.

i normally don't name my fish because they die after but i presently got brave and names all my puffers theres

I know what you mean eveytime I sit and think of a name it kills them but if i'm just sitting at the tank and call them something that sticks then they seem to be alright!

Grr and Kirby are great names! I love it!

As an update, my DPs just got renamed Saturnine and Tamora, since the female is dominant.

Weebo the dwarf puffer! No other puffers than that. But I've got plenty of other fish.
