AC's been out for 2 days. Doing my best to keep the tanks cool. Won't be fixed until Hubby gets back from his bike trip in another week.

AC's been out for 3 days. Staying home to see if the basement floods. River Rd's closed on either side of my street. Only thing left to handle here is if the electricity goes out. Oh yeah.... there could be a fire. Hubby's been gone for a week on a bike trip out east & out of town for another week. This feels like a drill to prepare me for when he's not around anymore. So far, I've passed.

Thank God, my neighbor loaned me one for my fish room (still 81 in here) but the rest of the house is pretty warm. I've got fans trying to draw the cooler air to the other end of the house where the other tanks are, in the living room.

I don't put much faith in the weather fortune tellers, but they say that high temps are going to be the norm until September. Thank God my tanks are still at the old house in the basement. I am seriously considering a chiller at the moment :/

I just upgraded my snail tank, went from a 2.5 with a 10 gallon filter on it to a 5.5 with the filter on it. I went with a tiny layer of sand because I don't much like the bare look that my 2.5 had. I'm hoping it will be fine. Guess I'll find out. Also did a 50% change on the 20L

MY tanks were all fine today.... But I've been harping on my room mate to do his 33% that he has been delinquent on. I wrote "WATER CHANGE" on the glass with a dry-erase marker while he was at work and he got pissed off when he came home, then STILL didn't do the change. Anyways I hassled his butt about doing it until he said, "Here's 5 bucks to do it for me, K?!?!"... So naturally I did the WC... It's like a free pack of bloodworms! And his Killiefish doesn't look sick to his stomach anymore

So with the AC problems & the fact that I HATE this one tank, because tulip anemones took over & my Peocock mantis dies with the last blackout, I kinda let it go & woke up to the most horrible smell! Milky white tank. Luckily, I didn't get another mantis for there. It seems the sea apple finally bit the dust. I highly suggest against purchasing one for your tank, they are impossible to keep alive. Anyway, I drained the stinky water & moved all the rock outside. House is still pretty stinky, because of the sand & rotting tulip nems on the glass. I have to wait until tomorrow to get someone to move the heavy tank outta here.
It is now the next day. OMG, my eyes are killing me! I must have not washed my hands well enough after moving all that rock out of the tank I tore down. Lost of palys on there.
