well i have been adding a little sea salt here and therePufferpunk wrote:If you do keep all 3 fish, you're going to have to go a lot bigger than 30g. Start working on getting your mom to let you bring back the other 2 fish. You will soon have to start adding marine salt to Puffy's tank & that will kill the other 2 fish.

This is not good AT ALL for the other fish.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Is the sea salt the kind you buy at the grocery store?

Maybe that will solve a problem (hint hint)Pufferpunk wrote:This is not good AT ALL for the other fish.
I agree with PP don't worry about the snails yet. We're still in the cycling phase of the project. Did you change 1/2 the water twice today?
Don't add any salt yet. There are 3 kinds of salt: Epsom, Aquarium and Marine. You don't need any of those yet. Table salt (sea salt) is no good. Save that for your vegetables at dinner time

hot glue will not hold up underwater and may put chemicals into the tank that will kill your puffer

Re: I need more infermation on green spotted puffers
if you want to decorate the tank you can start with a background. Can you paint or draw? It would make a nice scene or background for the tank while you are waiting for the cycle to finish later this week.
You can also start looking for an aquarium test kit. You'll need something to test the water later. Liquid test kits are the best. Check if you can find a "master" test kit. They are very handy. You don't have to buy one right now, but it would be nice to know what the different prices are.

Re: I need more infermation on green spotted puffers
If you can pick ALL the hot glue off those rocks, maybe you could silicone them back together. The cave is a good idea. You just didn't know about the hot melt glue being bad for fish. Be sure to get aquarium silicone at the fish store or in the fish dept. wherever you go.
