Re: This gal needs help!!!
Ok ok. Just to clear up the med discussion, I am no longer taking the Vicodin as my prescriptions were stolen and the drs say I don't need it anymore. I am in the process of getting SSI and then I will be permitted to have my pain meds back. As for my depression, all of my drs know about it and I am in counselling once a week for now.
As for the puffers, they are doing great as of this afternoon. The ammonia is completely gone. And all the boys are eating, though Poofer will only eat the freeze dried shrimp. I will be moving him to the 5g tank in 17 days and I will be able to leave the other foods in the tank a little longer in hopes that he will eat it.

If the Drs say you don't need pain meds anymore, then why would you be getting back on them? Did you suffer withdrawals when you got off them?
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Sorry dear, we did not mean to offend you or get in your business. It is just that both pufferpunk and myself has some experience with some of the things you are dealing with and we would do anything we could to help..Fish_are_friends wrote:Ok ok. Re: This gal needs help!!!
really?? want to buy a 5 bedroom house with a 500 gal tank?
They payments are really getting to me (as you can see by me recent post count). Depression is wow.. something I new to me. Loss of energy, drive and overall lethargy.
I can't say I know your pain Fish_are_friends, but PP and PC are good at what they do. They have "been through that and done that" while many of us are still in the diaper stage (so to speak).

Hmm? Is it depression when you have brought it on yourself? No, I suspect that if J-P did not have something to do in his life he would create it...even if that something to do was dramatic and stress causing. I also suspect that J-P is guilty of multitasking too much, which would leave anyone drained and lethargic. I would suggest B vitamins and a reduction of workload (including all computer related products-websites, shrimp sites and what not). However, I fear that J-P would rather not give up all of his projects, and as he reads this he is already thinking of a new project. Perhaps a inserting affordable mini-vacations in between conquering the world would do you wonders J-PJ-P wrote:really?? want to buy a 5 bedroom house with a 500 gal tank?

Re: This gal needs help!!!
thanks
it is much deeper than than but not my thread.
as much as that advice can be conveyed upon Fish_are_friends, I hope she heeds it. There are times when we put too much responsibility on ourselves.
Yes, self induced stress is a factor and we have to limit this. I am not certain about the numbers but AFAIK most stress is self induced. I hope you can find your way... I truly do.

This is why I try to live as stress-free as possible! I've had enough depression in my life.

Re: This gal needs help!!!
Sorry. I had no internet for awhile. I am back now. The request was denied. But I have moved one of the boys to a 5g tank until I can figure something else out. The parameters in both tanks are good. I am still doing water changes daily. I will be looking for a ride to go to a pet store around here to look for snails and more live plants...
The state took my DL two days ago due to seizures. I turn 21 next Sunday. Life isn't as good as I hoped it would be but I still have my boys. I am re-looking into re-homing two of them... Just haven't found anything. I may have to re-home them all. The tests kits are running out quickly with two tanks going and they are very expensive.

You could try placing an add here -> http://www.carolinafishtalk.com/forum/
In addition, when you place your add, make sure you say that these puffers can be acclimated quickly to full marine.

At least you have kept them alive this long & are trying to do the best thing for them. Maybe by keeping them for this period of time, they still served a purpose for you.
