No worries. Great end result. Plus if balki is happy we all are. Looks awesome. Sorry really tired so no creative typing lol. It's just gone midnight here and I have not long been home, started work at 6am. Can I just add et was giving big style JAZZ fins when I got in lol
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

I think the tank itself was a good find, it has thicker glass than my 75 gallon, and the stand is real wood. It's a 56 gallon 36" x 18" x 21". It a little less long, but he really likes it, he's adjusted very well.
But, it's just a standard FOWLR, but I'll see about adding some macro algae, maybe some mushrooms, in a few months.

GLad he is adjusting......Im wishing I had stuck with a FOWLR. Corals are becoming a bad habit LOL, just glad my puffer is messy enough to give them something to chow down on

I would only get some very basic, easy to care for tank raised corals. I know this places me in a minority, but I don't have any fascination with keeping corals. Don't get me wrong, I think other people's reef tanks are beautiful, but I don't really want one of my own. I think they are a scary money pit.

No, I beg to differ, all of my FW tanks are planted, and they are definitely not money pits. I've never payed more than a few dollars for a single plant, a lot of the set up and supplementing can be DIY, it's definitely way less expensive.

Thanks lol, it was stressful being on time limit. I may have forgotten to mention it was literally the filthiest tank I have ever seen, but it didn't have any algae, just well water hard water stains, crusty old random things, and leaves and a dead cockroach.

Yesterday I was finally able to catch Orangjello. He has been fighting his ghost reflection, as this tank has very thick glass. It was disturbing to watch, and I'm imagining annoying to live with. Orangjello is now I the other marine tank, and he's adjusted fine. It's a 45 gallon with an Occelaris Clown, Scooter Dragonet, some snails and an Emerald Crab. Guess who doesn't give a wa\rus about Orangjello's absence? Thankfully, Balki is carrying on as usual!
At some point in the future, I will have to construct the shadow box.
