Welp the emerald crab is for real dead this time. No marks that make me think bacon attacked it but no way of knowing for sure

Ya took a sample into my LFS and everything came out good, the nitrates were between 10-20 not to bad. Im doing a water change after dinner.

Bacon still has a white belly, eating, and swimming like normal

I still suspect foul play!

Seriously though , there might have not been enough for it to eat . With the tank being so new .

Ya, I always toss in extra food so they have something to eat.

Other then what he picked off the LR all he got was meat based. Need to get some seaweed or something for the other crabs to snack on

Hey Xray, if you don't mind me asking, how much did it run (ballpark figure) to get a 20 gallon set up fully marine? What kind of filtration setup did you go with (I think you mentioned it, I have to go back and look) and is that going to be Bacon's permanent home? Sorry, still collecting research to possibly get a GSP/marine set up ^.^ Thanks!
5.5g: Pond snails
5.5g: Red Cherry Shrimp and Rams
10g: PZ the Pee Wee (DP), Ghost shrimp, Otos x3
36g: Luau the F8, Zebra nerites x8, sometimes a herd of ghost shrimp for food
60g: Perches the starry blenny, 1 watchman goby Snaps the l.c. hermit, 2 emerald crabs, 1 red crab, 2 turbos, 7 asteas, 2 nerites, 2 clown gobies and 2 firefish gobies (upgrading to a 90 gallon reef)

RIP Yoshi, you are dearly missed <3

spend about 80 bucks or so on 9lbs of LR and 10-11 lbs of dry rock(could have saved by getting some of CL but wanted to help out the LFS)
35 or so on a powerhead
20bucks iirc on aragonite substrate.

As for filtration Im doing LR and water movement. For the water movement im using 1 power head and a old canister filter(empty).
No this is not his perm home, a GSP needs at least 30g's. I wouldnt have done it this way but a guy on here had her and need to get rid of here so I took her. Perm home is going to be a 75g that im buying stuff for now.

75 gallons wow!! Thank you! Definitely gives me an idea. We are now seriously considering getting a 36-40 gallon bowfront with a stand. I showed the BF you thread in hopes it would help to persuade him more ^.^ (I think it's working!) LOL

The only reason Im stepping up to a 75 is that I got one with stand for free from a friend or Id go to a 55(just for ease of finding one). A 36-40bow front would be awesome for 1 GSP.

He is seriously considering letting me get another one hahahaha. ^.^ The problem is, it would go where I have three vittles vaults sitting. In our apartment, where would we move the vittles vaults where they can still be easily accessible and not in the way?? LOL. If I can solve that riddle, I seriously think he will let me get one....
