and was checking my 20L, it finally finished cycling.....now to get some guppies from my buddy to keep it that way

My long nose hawk fish is dying...

aww how old is it?

I'm thinking it was an adult when I bought it. I try to get most of my fish as small adults, so they'll live longer. The bluespot puffer I just bought is HUGE but gorgeous. I hope it's just a young adult.

Manual removal of terminator hair algae (called Terminator algae because it always seems to come back and cannot be killed), revealing a surprising amount of coralline on live rock. Currently in cold beverage consumption stage of regularly scheduled aquarium maintenance; partial water change and chemistry check to follow shortly.

ALTHOUGH... this would get done a lot faster if Camille would quit following my hand around all puffed up trying to bite it!! She's currently in the corner curled up pouting - will post a pic of this later.

My usual Tuesday routine: 75% WC on 90g, 125g, 10g, 20g FW. Then 30% on the 100g & 46g reefs. Now making more SW.

Tore down one of my 0.9g Marina Cubus tanks (my Red Sea Nano filter's motor burnt out, didn't have any inhabitants anyway. Still have my other one set up). Set up a new 5 gallon (will be my shrimp tank instead of my 2.5 gallon) with the some left over CaribSea Supernaturals Tahitian moon, plus the Tahitian Moon that was in my 2.5 gallon. Obviously tore down my 2.5g, but set it back up with a no substrate and a single rock, going to it use it as my pond snail breeding tank to use as food for when I get my DPs.

Emptied out my skimmer cup and gave it a good cleaning. Water fop off... I have a 25% water change on Tuesday.

This morning about 8:00, I flattened the 4 inch mountain of aragonite that my sleeper goby decided to build for no apparent reason, and dug up the rock cave decoration buried in aragonite, again done by my sleeper goby.

He's already rebuilt the 4 inch mountain and is, at this instant (3:10pm), halfway through re-burying the rock cave decoration.

I give up.

He doesn't sleep much, does he?

Today i tested the water in my cycling dp tank, ammonia spike but nothing else. I also messed around with my diy co2 diffuser. Tonight it's water change time in my two betta tanks

Combine Goby or Backhoe Goby would have been a much better name for this little cretin.

Did a 50% water change as well as some needed cleaning of decor..stirred and netted....and I'm going to start cycling a 10G FW tank if only so I'll have a colony of FW bac. for future needs..

yesterday I took out half the sand in my 20L, had it deep sand bed for a congo but decided to go with an F8 instead so I took out some of the sand and put it in Bloats tank. Bloat loves to bury in the deeper sand now lol
