Check your water parameters first, big water change is always a good idea. Melafix will aid in the healing of damaged fins and scrapes, pimafix for more fungal infections.

I have moved your original thread to the Hospital forum and merged your other thread about his damaged fin and bad eye together with this thread. Its best to keep them all together if possible so we can follow the whole situation.

im sry, i dont think it can be a fungal infection at 80F 1.004 SG, i just did a 50% water change to btw ill be checking my nitrates momentarily

It could still be a fungal infection, there's different species of fungus and bacteria, etc that lives in every salinity.

Melafix is good for any stress. Is the other puffer picking on this one? I think I'm missing some posts somewhere...

nada they get along great they swim together and frolock, nothing is nipping at them,at the petco i got them they were being nipped at,they have Brackish Moray eels with them,im glad i rescued atleast 2 of them,the eye is glazed ill try and get a pic and theres a fin that doesnt work

i got some melafix and puff is being treated,ill post more info on his hopefully recovery

the time is 11:17 eastern. Puff doesnt look good,i dont know if hes going to make it by morning. I may have gotten the meds to him to late.He doesnt look good just sittin on a leaf eyes glazed over barelly moving

he made it,i woke up at 2 in the morning to check on him,he look pretty bad but hes made it for another day

Are you still doing 50% water changes, daily?

yep,i got the nitrates down,while im treating the tank tho i prob wont do a water change

Clean water is more important than any meds. Just add the Melafix after each daily water change.

yep after the 50% water change everthing is at a safe level

Keep testing daily & do WC accordingly.
