Sorry, they're all with the flash. The ones with no flash never came out right. The colors are pretty accurate though, I try to tone them down a little. The most accurate ones are the first (with the measuring tape) and the fattysmile one. He always had a somewhat washed-out and mottled looking coloration even when he was young. In this picture, he was about 1 and 1/2 to 2 inches long. Wow, that was back in 2004...

There's a much larger gallery of all my puffers here, though it's a bit outdated now. I have tons of new pictures but never posted them.

Sorry for going off topic. When I get my hands on some Flubenol, I'll continue updating this thread with how it works. While I'm waiting, I've been giving him krill soaked in garlic oil, though it doesn't seem to have helped much.

That's the same levamisole I use, from the same provider. I've never had any issues with using it, although yes, the fish generally don't like the taste and need to be fasted for a day or two before they'll willingly eat it.
Hope you have better luck with the Flubenol.

Myaj,
I'm glad to know the stuff I was using is the right product, actually. Now I don't have to worry that I may have accidentally poisoned the other fish who DID eat the food happily. I did wait 2 to 3 days before trying to feed Mr. Fattykins, but he would still just spit it back out. That's why it took so long to make a post again. I tried several times to feed him the medicine again, to confirm that it wasn't just a fluke that he was spitting it out. So each time he spit it out, I had to feed him his real food and had to wait a few days to try again.
I wonder if maybe he does has some allergy to it. Even the very first time I managed to get him to eat it, I swear it gave him diarrhea. He got upset and pooped very soon after eating and it just kind of fell apart everywhere. It usually takes him longer before he poops and doesn't disintigrate like that. None of the other fish had any problems with the medicine at all. I only ever gave them one dose since I was afraid to give them more after Mr. Fattykins started not liking it, but now I'll continue with their medicine. They were all from the same pet store and were all in the same tank at the store and at home the first few months (the 3 GSPs I mean, not the F8s) so I'm sure they all got infected with the same nasties, even if only one is showing symptoms years later.

have you heard of people using pumpkin seeds as a dewormer? I have heard good things about it and I want to try it myself on my GSP because I also think he has IP because his stomach is sunken in. I'll update on how it turns out

I did see that actually! I'll have an opportunity to buy raw pumpkin seeds tomorrow, so I'll pick some up. Normally I buy the already roasted and salted ones for myself. Please let me know how it goes with you.

I researched this once, a recipe for extracting the active components I found is located in the sticky on parasites, if I remember right.

I reduced the recipe and converted it to American measures.
Here's how it ended up-
1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds, mashed up
2 cups water
After 30 minutes of simmering, this became 1 cup of liquid.
I strained it and simmered again, until I had about 1/8 cup of liquid.
I think this is pretty much the same method as for making your own soy milk.
Mr. Fattykins seems to really love the flavor. He had his second dose yesterday, so I hope he starts to improve.

I still have the 'wormer' for sale, but due to a few problems at the moment, the website is offline, please pm me if interested.
Sorry for any problems this may cause.

Well, I messed up my treatment with the pumpkin seed milk. I didn't realize it had to be refrigerated and after four days it had a horrible rancid smell. I don't know why I didn't think of it, after all soy milk has to be refrigerated.... Anyway, I'll be making more when I get more pumpkin seeds on Wed. I hope this treatment will hold me over until the dewormer arrives. I was giving it to him everyday, but it didn't seem to be helping at all. I'm getting really worried now.
Paul, thank you very much for still being willing to provide me the dewormer. I really don't know what else to try.
