Well, He sulked for about a week, never "talked to me" interacted etc. So i basically took the tank apart, plants, wood the lot, moved him into a 5gall quarantine.
changed the layout of the tank, added a pile of Java Ferns, moss, and some nice wood. I then let him back into the tank. He dissappeared for a day then slowly came out more and more. He has now dug out a cave at the very front of the tank.
He is becoming more and more interactive, if i tap the feeding hatch he shoots up the tank awaiting snails to fall from the sky lol.
His colours are all back and he is eating a balanced diet again rather than sniffing, turning nose up and swimmiing off.
I think it was the lack of his partner that made him very unsure of the surroundings at first, then once it was re arranged he setup a new territory etc. I really think that if i knew what i was doing breeding wise the two would have possibly created babies....but alas it wasnt to be. From all the stuff re Salivators on here and other places, its rather rare that males and female live so happily together as mine did. I might try a new female at some point, but im currently very happy with him alone now he has come back to his nosey self.
