I'm with Pami on that ... also, you're using a synthetic sea salt mix, right? Just wanting to make sure, because aquarium salt (like Doc Wellfish's) does not make brackish or salt water, only synthetic sea salt does the job.

oh yes, im using instant ocean.

i got my puffer today too.. hes eating like a pig :S

Which one have you got him in?
If it's not the 10 gallon just yet, be sure and transfer him very soon. Are you UK or US gallons, as UK gallons are a bit bigger.
Congrats on your new dude. Any names yet?
Keep us posted, hope he settles well. If he's eating loads already, he probably feels ok, but watch those water params..puffers are very messy!

thanks for the responses.

I decided to name my guy "Bumble". He's in a 6 gallon, and seems to pace a lot..

I will put him in the 10 as soon as it becomes vacant.. which should be within the week.

Great, he'll be so much happier in the 10. You'll be able to fit more decor in, which'll keep him amused, reducing the pacing.
He looks like a cutie...bit ragged after his store experience, but he'll soon be restored to his full glory.
