That helps, yes. In which case, you are overfeeding him if that's what the bulge is from. He should have a rounded tummy, not a bulging one.

i had just fed him a small piece of mussel (cut into smaller strips 2mm wide and about 7-10mm long), he sucks the strips one at a time from my fingers like spaghetti only fed him 3-4 small strips at a time, is this to much ?

If his tummy bulges more than just a little bit, it's too much. Just feed until it's a little round tummy.

Apparently if its making the tumor-looking bulge, its too much. Try to picture how small their stomach is. He's a little guy and his tummy is really tiny. Overfeeding is not a healthy thing for fish, no more than it is for humans. See how he looks after 1-2 strips, that's probably sufficient for his size.

Shermy is doing well, but the white marks still have not showed any signs of getting better, I have finished a whole bottle of P&M fix. Thought time would heal the Marks but it dose not seem so.

Has anyone else had an experience with damaged skin that dose not heal?

Shame, he is very happy but he looks terrible with the white gashes

I am asking a friend who does photography to come around and photograph Shermy with his high MEGA PIXEL camera, so hopefully ill have some clear images of the skin problem shortly.

Has anyone experienced damaged skin on there puffers before?, if so ... how long did it take to heal ?

A F8 my gf recently adopted had a bad 1" scrape on his face where the skin was totally white, and I'd say it was healing well in 2 or 3 days, and nearly invisible in a week and change.

He has had these marks since i got him back two months ago, will ask the Tracee (the girl who was looking after him) when first noticed the Marks.

I have started with a second treatment of M&Pfix.

That really looks like severe skin damage, I've never seen a picture quite like it...

yes, it is very bad

he is in good spirit although he does display black stress marks often despite the perfect water conditions.

Is there any way he could be scraping himself on something? I'm tempted to say antibiotic baths, but I'm not even sure what antibiotic...

Doesn't look like scrapes to me, looks like some sort of flesh-eating bacteria.

i am going to keep up the second round of P&M treatment and see if there is any improvement. It dose not seem to be getting any worse, but also no improvement. Do you think this could be permenent skin damage ?

Its possible the skin will heal. They heal from other types of damage, such as bite marks and other wounds. Might scar though.
