I'll probably get some ASAP, because Kiwi passed over the night. I've never seen parasites eat a puffer so quickly, but I'm guessing he had a massive parasite load and it just wasn't obvious because of how overfed he was at the store, then he bought some time from the medicated food. This morning he had emptied out, when he was previously always very plump even after I put him on normal ration levels, and not long after he was dead. Thanks for the suggestions everybody, I really was hoping he'd make it, he was a rescue I was very fond of.
