Get a hydrometer, or better, a refractometer and keep the specific gravity around 1.005 ( but don't raise or lower it more than .002 per week to keep the filter alive)
He passed away this morning. After trying our best over the past week, it's really upsetting to lose him.
I don't want any more fish in this tank until I get it cycled properly to say the least, I can't bear to lose another one. Could anyone give me some advise on how to do a proper fishless cycle?
