Continue using it if it works for you - just be careful with its use in saltwater fish. Freshwater use is fine.

He looks better today, he is up and swimming. Not like the past two days where he has been at the bottom of the tank.

Did you ask the vet? I haven't had to treat IPs, since they were still selling Discomed. I'm glad he's feeling better. Did you start the hypo? FW dip?

Yes I asked the vet, she has never had to give medication to a fish so she is not too sure on how much.

I started the hypo, the ich is much better.

He ate for the fist time yesterday, a very small chunk of clam that I soaked in Zoe and silicon. No poop yet that I know of.

How often should I dose the Melafix?

When I do give him medication should I just soak his food in it?

When I dose melafix in a QT tank I usually do daily large water changes and dose melafix every other day.

I'd dose it after each WC. As Kelly has stated, keep an eye on any breathing problems using it & be sure to add an airstone or 2. I am more familiar with using it for FW/BW fish.

Hey guys, his eyes still look very cloudy - what is the best think for this?

I would treat with antibiotics - via bath or antibiotic laced food (if you can target feed the puffer to ensure adequate dosing).

What anti-biotics should he get, my vet will give me anything I just have to let her know what I need.

Many of the antibiotics - minocycline (mardel's maracyn-2, kanamycin & nitrofurazone containing products ) are available at LFS and on-line vendors. These are usually not available through a vet.

Enrofloxacin is only obtained through a vet and is expensive. I prefer oral or injection due to the expense of the drug.

what ever would work the best. He likes to eat so I can soak his food in it.

Today when I got home the wrasse and the puffer are both on the bottom, very heavy breathing - doing a water change, i added the melafix last night and I don't think they like it.

Are you using airstones in there? If the Melafix isn't working & they're having trouble breathing, even w/airstones, maybe you should stop using it. The antibiotic PQ recommends should take care of that.

What is your salinity?
What is your pH, ammonia & nitrite?
