ROFL the right motivation, definately!

Well I am sore and tired now, physical activity wears me out, but I'll definitely do the breakdown of the 38g tank if he'll let me. His last big female molly in that tank died today so there's only a couple of fish to move - 2 SAEs, 2 stonelappers, my baby whale, 2 bumblebee gobies and a kuhli loach.

Ya know, I have no idea. That's what AU calls them. Look much like SAEs but with a pale gray stripe rather than a black one.

LOL okay.. my next question was "what's a garra"?

I've never heard of them, at least not that I know of.

Ok, another question. Is it better to get one powerhead rated for 125g+ or two lesser powerheads, one on each side of the tank?

I have no idea on the powerhead thing. If I had to guess, I'd say one, because Fahakas are from rivers and the water only flows in one direction in rivers. But that's just a guess!

That was my thinking too. Loading up on plants now, live ones. Broad leaf sag and hygro corymbosa for the back and sides, spatterdock, amazon sword compacta, red crypt wendtii and ozelot sword for mid and foreground. Sound ok?

hmmmm just a thougth but,

one strong one would make a strong current, and pull the planys around and the puffer, two stonger ones would maybe make it nicer for the puffer to play in? and give a natrual feel to it? ie, the current rebounding off a mud clod or something?

I have kind of an interesting setup for my SAPs.. I put a powerhead in the middle facing one way, and got one of those Hydor in-tank LED air pump deals for the corner it shoots into.. bubbling up air bubbles.. the SAPs spend all their time swimming into the air pump and powerhead. You can see them in the night time flying up and down the current, lol.

Personally, I would say just get 1, shoot it end-to-end rather than towards the front.

just my 2 cents, I was never a believer in powerheads until I tried one.

That's what I was planning.

Stonelapper could be a local name for Fake Flying Foxes, The real SAE will have a black line running from nose through eye down body. If it doesnt have that then id say its a fake fox. Apparently they are much less aggressive though, so its a nice trade off imo.

Yeah, we have both SAEs and stonelappers.
