i had a terresterial vine in the filter box that was eating it up. i had the two F8's before (of which i couldnt do this with) that had horrible nitrates that were hellish to keep up with. i was a lttle nervous with the DP's thinking they would be as hard to keep up with but didnt anticipate the effects a planted tank would have on nitrates. i went a little over kill on 'nitrate eaters' lets say.
the vines are in pots now, which is where i wanted them eventually. im glad to know that they will do in a pinch, say a vacation that last longer than a week?? i dont know about you guys but im not sure if i trust my cat sitter to take care of my fish tanks!!!
