I've flung a puffer out of the tank via the same method. My fangs puffed up though, in air. I returned him to the tank, he deflated, and everything was fine.

Glad to hear the Baileyi is ok.

Oh my goodness Boxermom! I leave the forum for one day and you go and get bitten by a puff!

I'm glad that Phil is ok, and hopefully the wound isn't hurting you so much! I can't imagine what that must of felt like :(

 See? You gotta keep me safe and not go away anymore, not even for a day. :D The pain has gone away but the marks are still there as a reminder. And he's gone back to ignoring me, filled with contentment (and a good meal). :)

I'm not teh only one who has done it either. I think Rocker said he might have had a similar experience, and another one of my puffer owning friends has done it too.

It hurts.

Sure did, worse than getting pierced in odd places. Probably because I was expecting the piercings but not the bite.

Yep I posted about the exact same thing with my baileyi.
Snatched my hand out quick and went to the kitchen to wash the bite. Wrapped the finger in kitchen towel. Got a drink and came to sit back down.
Flicking through the TV channels I could here a strange sound in between the channels. Thought it was a fault on the cable box. Sat back with drink to watch chosen channel to hear the sound again and something catch my eye.
It was the baileyi flipping about on the wooden floor. I had whipped him out of his tank when he bit me and I didn't realise to sometime later.

Wow, and he survived? Poor thing. Now I don't feel quite so bad about Phil going for a short flight. At least he didn't land in the dog food bowl that was sitting close to him. :D
