A question for owners:
My puff still hasnt gotten the bright colors that I see in some other photos of the species. He's is a dark tan color. Is that a normal color variation?

They really aren't one of the more colorful puffer species.

I just had his water tested!
Nitrite - 0ppm
Nitrate - 0ppm
Ammonia - 0 ppm
pH - 7.0
Perhaps Bio-Zyme really works!

0 Nitrate or undetectable Nitrate?
Did you have it tested at a store> It's possible the employee rounded down for you. Hopefully that's the case. Zero ammonia and nitrite, and detectable nitrates are the sign of a fully cycled tank.

Well it was below the next measurement, it wasnt outside the first color. Im sure there were some nitrite but it was less than 1 ppm i think

He is quite happy! He is a light tank color. Since I've added the live plants he seems to have gotten happier, he now loves the flower pot. I stuck the Pennywort roots through the back of the pot, nestles right in amounst the roots.
On another note, how often should I feed him? 3 times a week mabe?
