thanks, i'll completly thaw the food next time. if he's hungry enough, he will eat it.

Like RTR says...we've got built-in central heating, fish don't, so if they eat something that's way cold compared to them, they'll get a kind of frostbite in their guts.
Even if we eat ice-cream, by the time it gets to out stomachs, we've upped our internal thermostat so the ice-cream warms up pretty fast...but fish can't do that, so it could lead to some of their gut tissues being damaged.
