GSP Hanging Out Near Top

I got them at that salinity, the tank is 10 g (I am setting up a 47 g as we write) and they are about 1 1/2 inch or so...

Yup, I'm here! Are they gasping for air or just hanging out nar the top? Can you show a pic of your tank?

They are just hanging...not gasping for air.

And both of them dont do it all the time...it is mainly just one of them...could it be a territorial thing...one is afraid of the other?

In that small of a tank, if they aren't showing any signs of illness, then that's what I'd guess it to be. Or maybe he just likes it up there.

I split this topic from the other one so it wouldn't be further hijacked. I agree w/BM, about tank size & the one near the top being a bit scared. I had a F8 that would always hang out near the top, by the worm cone feeder. I finally was watching the tank one day & saw the sailfin molly I had in there poking at it. As soon as I removed the molly, it was swimming out & about again.

How long does it take to fully cycle a brackish water tank...minimum?

if I go fishless with bio spira and food (frozen blood worms will do)...what do you think?

If I go with fish...what do I use for a brackish?

Is this an upgrade? If yes, then just move everything over from the smaller tank to the larger one (substrate, decor, filter) & you have moved over almost all the supporting bacteria you had in the smaller tank to the larger one.
