Indeed not, sir! For those that haven't looked at the program, what it does is give you a quick but approximate conversion between specific gravity, salinity (grammes of salt per litre), and percentage saltiness compared with seawater. Normal seawater is about 35 grammes of salt per litre. It's not perfect because it is really only accurate at 25C; in warmer or cooler water the relationship between specific gravity and salinity changes (water becomes more dense the cooler it gets).
The program comes in Mac and Windows versions.
