Vancouver is still one of the most beautiful cities Ive ever seen! Its amazing having a city inbetween the ocean and the mountians. Very active, outdoor city...Nice aquarium too and year memberships are very cheap. I think I only paid like $50 or 60 canadian for mine!

Justin: You still can't go wrong with the Undersea Gardens in Victoria.

It's worth the trip over that's for sure. And I hope the Royal BC Museum FINALLY gets around to fixing the Open Ocean exhibit...I remember that from my childhood..it was SOOOOOOOO Cool! Going down in the "Submarine" learning about the various oceanic zones and seeing pictures/plaster/whatever representations of the wildlife from said zones...they even had preserved specimens from the deep ocean zones...
*sigh*
I WANT THAT EXHIBIT Back gosh darnit...might be heading down to Vic soon....if hubby's schedule allows...for a full day (couldn't go for any less because of the 3hr drive each way lol)
*goes off to the Royal BC Museum's website to see if the exhibit is back or not...and if they improved it*
ETA: GAH!!! No word on it...I did email them asking when/if it'll be back though...

USG is pretty interesting, It's better right around this time of year when the salmon are about to spawn because there are tons of them swimming around. Real wicked looking sea stars..and their Giant Octopus is pretty cool too. Get to see lots of wildlife. Their show they have once an hour or so is pretty educational too.
*sigh* I shot an email off to the Royal BC museum asking when they'll be bringing back the Open Ocean. Hope they answer soon...I *DID* see that giant squid that washed up here from Brazil the last time I was in Victoria (Mid July) and it was pretty interesting. It was purple...very odd indeed...
