Is ammonia 0 too? If the tank was cycled, you should be seeing some detectable nitrAtes.

nitrates are damn near non existant. i was gone for 9 hours today i came home and they were laying on the botom just about black and motionless. with in 5 minutes of being home there a beutiful color and tearing around the tank goofin around... are my fish lonly when i am not home/? damn weird i think

Probably napping. Your perameters certainly sound good. Unless there are some chemicals being used near them or something.

i added 4 small blue hermit crabs to help maintain waste and the puffers are not bothering them at all... and i have to agree with your napping theory.. they look dead when there sleeping then i get home and they look great. all behavior seems to be normal other than that.... one puffer crocked his tail and turned black for about 5 min when i added the crabs but then back tonormal i have been home for 2 days with a cold and they seem fine.. so alls well i guess!!!! as far as qting the crabs they came from my brothers 210 reef which is the healthiest i ever saw... so ididnt bother.. i quick question.. how much hiding space do these guys need to be happy thats about the only thing i am skimping on.. should i do the wall of rock allong the back with caves i was talking about a few weeks ago? or just leave it go with the 2 hiding spots they have now?
