I'd probably look into F8s instead of a GSP unless you're dead set on a GSP. You could have 2 or 3 in there, and they are a lot easier to maintain, require less salt, and stay low end brackish. Generally easier for a puffer beginner.

I'm partial to GSPs, so if you choose to stick with them, I'd completely understand :p

I'm not dead set on anything, other than wanting a puffer. In fact, I'm taking the loss of my GSP as a chance to do some research into finding a puffer that would best suit my abilities/tastes, rather than just taking what one fish store has.

I'm thinking that a FW puffer would be best for me. I have no doubt in my ability to make a FW tank totally bulletproof. I'd prefer to do that rather than "experiment" on doing a BW or SW set up and potentially harming a fish.

Any thoughts on the Congo puffer (T. miurus)?

And should I now take this to another forum on the board?

Check out the pufferlist and see what kind of puffers fit with what you want.
