I am not trying to be off with anyone here, but you cant ask a question here without being under suspicion of putting a puffer into a vase! No-one will take your word for it. I know people are miss sold puffers and sometime tanks are too small, i have been there, but its the only question that gets asked on the forum and then no-one believes you. 2nd to that is water parameters. I am not says they are again not important, but when people don’t believe you it gets annoying.

It's a puffer care forum. Tank sizes and water parameters are the two most important, and most commonly screwed up aspects of puffer care. No one was not believing you. Those questions will always be asked, that's why we ask that you include them in initial posts.

I know the question will always be asked and i know its a good thing, but when you say just under 50g people should accept that its just under 50g and not say that its vague! The same when you gave your parameters. People think the TWO test kits you have are wrong!

No, the reason people asked the actual dimensions is because most nominal tanks don't hold close to that amount of water. The only reason I see for assuming test kits are wrong is if the test results don't make sense, or if a fish's behavior would suggest the results are inaccurate.

But with 2 test kits you think that if both show the same results then they would be ok.

When you come here for help, you sorta have to expect an inquisition. Not because we're jerks, but because we want to help you resolve the problem at hand. Unfortunately, that requires full disclosure. Everything is suspect, and everything will be questioned. We nail down facts from there until we find the root cause and solution. Remember, diagnostics are inherently invasive. If we took things at face value, we would be making or accepting assumptions, and you know what they say about the word buttocks-u-me.

Pheadrus , that was very well said , (like i even need to state that,) i would like to say one thing neil , shape of the tank has a big effect on the in habitants, more /less surface area, gravel bed,and hieght, you could say fifty gallon, and it could be a hexagon (which isnt really appropriate for puffers. Sorry if it seems like an inqusition.
