hahah so back to the topic.. i just added a anubius nana and a dwarf lily.. am i supopse to seperate the roots of the dwarf lily? it looks like a onion ball

Artificial tree roots. Very good for creating an artificial mangrove environment...my GSP loved them, and my DPs love em...

You can get them in stores at Petsmart usually, but you can save some money online (especially on the xl ones).

No, just put the bulb on the substrate. You can push it down a little but don't bury it. If the leaves become detatched, just throw them away but not the bulb - it will continue growing roots and leaves.

Better, but not really enough. Here's a pic of my modestus tank, which is pretty much the same requirements for heavy decor as the DPs. When we say lots, we mean LOTS.

AA, try larger rocks or driftwood structures... maybe some hiding spots like some people have done in the past is add small planting pots or sometimes some (not preferred) tank ornaments. I'd stick with denser plants (as I will do to mine soon) and more rock or DW structures...

Remember, people would want to live in a house, not just a floor with a few couches here and there. Bulk it up a bit, don't be afraid of over-crowding the tank with plants and such, puffer's love that for exploring!

Decorate the tank so the puff has space to move. Over crowding is a bad thing and you never want to put too much decor in your tank.

Well, sorry if what my previous post said... I didn't mean to say over-crowding but I meant that you need to add more plants and structures to your tank, because it's kind of too spacious. Like Tihsho said, don't add so much that it's difficult for them to move, just keep it interesting is all... May I suggest a few more taller plants in the back, maybe two or three more but not all the same. If not, add DW! It looks really good in aquariums of any size. I get alot of cool looking driftwood from the wild in the Connecticut river whenever the family goes boating there. I know things from the wild isn't safe but I clean it over and over, putting it in clean treated (in the good way) water and repeating the process and leaving it to dry for about a week to make sure EVERYTHING potentially harmful is dead. It works too because my tank looks fine and so are the fish. Good luck with the tank.

There, I got a new program so I could edit the photo better. Its lighter now so you can see that its layered but not jam-packed.

Yea it looks much better... although, your modestus is nowhere in sight .

They always run and hide whenever I pull out the camera, little buggers. Makes it hard to get a pic of them.

Try disguising it in a snail costume! Always works with my uncles porker! lol

Also having a dark room and tank lights off helps me get clearer shots.

My camera is just plain messed up..it's a special camera designed to connect to a printer (it has that little printer with it) and since it's so cheap I can't even turn the flash off so any pictures I take there is a glare somewhere in the picture and it's usually awfully blurry.

That's what I did, Tihsho, but my camera is rather old and it didn't really help. I usually have to adjust it with a photo program.
