Change Water in Planted Tank

Tain't fresh, and tain't marine! Talk about brackish setups.

I have used sand in planted tanks and had no problems; I have also used sand in planted tanks and had foul substrate disasters.

I no longer use sand unless i absolutely must, and then I usually do so over a plenum.
Where's the fish? - Neptune
