Just pour out enough to partially soak foods in it and then swish it around so the food gets filled with it. Best way to pump the food full of nutrients is to soak it over night. In a container in your fridge, FYI fride may smell the next day.

I'm trying to keep my cool about it. It's been almost a week.

As for the garlic guard, just let the food soak in it for a bit to absorb it. I find freeze dried foods suck it up more.

LOL, i thought you were talking about soaking the live hermit crabs. The puffer has no problem eating the frozen food, but I didn't think there was enough "shelly" type food in there to do the trick.
