Frank has fully recovered and is thriving. I had used methylene blue to prevent bacterial infection in the hospital tank and later levamisole to purge any sources of infection in his feeder and regular tank.
He suffered no ill affects after being reintroduced after a day in the hospital tank and is now a completely healthy lad.

I was unable to get a picture due to the panic, low lighting (to reduce stress), and him promptly eating the worm as revenge.
But it was round, completely white/transparent with a pointed end. No textures, soft-looking. Inside was some red, likely its food. Its size was about the width of a BB pellet once outside of the head and it was coming out of a hole much smaller that was compressing it. It came out above his left eye. Somehow, no infection of any kind occurred and his eye is perfectly fine, alongside his brain, and no other lumps have appeared. The area in which it often was is completely flat and healthy now.
