Poor fishy. I hope the myxazin helps!

I’ve noticed if I really don’t beat the stuffing out of the second nitrate bottle before testing- like really smacking it off the counter to make sure the solution is mixed- that it will not show nitrate when I test. It’s honestly kind of absurd how much you have to beat it up, but I have noticed a difference! Might be an answer to your issue with that.
