1st of 2 new tanks is in the house.
My brackish crew seems happy.
Completing rockwork next week.
Gonna try a bunch of salt-resistant Java ferns.
Had them before and they accepted 1.010.
(Froze instantly, no growth, but they didnt die.)
Beautiful plant, looks like this.
Fertlizing the tank in order to grow me some wicked thread-algea.
Picking up a baby Arothron hispidus tomorrow (for free

).
It is of course a Marine puffer, but I plan to keep it together with my GSP in Brackish for around three years.
Then it will have to be a hugish Marine tank...

And just curious about what you mentioned about the Arothron. I thought they were a marine ONLY species? So you can bring them down to brackish? Whats will the SG be?

According to Dr. Ebert young specimens of A. hispidus can be kept in brackish for a long time, much like the GSP.
The SG of my tank is 1.010, and I will raise it extremely slowly the next few years.

Your tanks look beautiful Woland, I love the aluminum-looking frames on the outsides of them. And your plants, my goodness are they gorgeous!

Man, just can't get over how gorgeous those tanks are! Truly something for me to aspire to one day!

What's the size of that beautiful brackish corner tank?
