I'd keep it, in case you set up another tank. I have done that several times.

Yeah I was thinking of keeping it but I don't think we have room, and what do I store it in? I have removed 2 3-gallon-buckets' worth, not sure how many lbs that is. One bucket of it I put in a white trash bag and have it airing out with the rocks, the second I just dumped in the rock-bed-median-thing in the driveway.

I hope this helps... it should. I had so much gunk floating around the tank after that... the water is still basically opaque.

LOL! Stockpile. I have hundreds of pounds of substrates, all double bagged in gallon Ziplocks in storage. And tanks, And stands. And rocks, And ...
