Your probably right Bertie. I will keep an eye on him. He's not done it in the last 24 hours and is being a lot calmer. Thank you for the advice I'm trying to do the move as soon as I can but we are having issues with house hunting.

Your puffer is stressed because of the overstocking issue, period. We have offered a solution for your problem. IDK how I can assist you further, if you insist everything is "fine". I've been in this hobby for 40 years, wrote countless articles on puffers & other species, yet you know better.

Please listen to them, you won't get better advice anywhere else, and they put the health and happiness of their fish first. Surely, the most important thing is that your fish ALL live the longest, happiest, healthiest lives they possibly can. They don't ask to be our fish, and our duty to them is to provide the absolute best environment.

even with fresh food, water & fresh air, how long do you think you would be OK locked in a 5ft x 10ft closet with 6 other people?

I'm not overly fond of people, I infinitely prefer Pig's company, or the cats/dogs/whatever baby birds I have in. Right now I have 2 baby pigeons and a highly demanding starling. They're still nicer than people. My tolerance time is probably slightly off whack. I'd rather talk to the dinner crabs tbh.

I guess you work in retail? After a few years in retail humans are less appealing lol

Lol no, I actually rehabilitate wildlife, baby birds specifically, although I do get the odd hedgehog. I used to be a PA up in London, probably that's where I get my disillusionment from
