Another thing, she got a mark on her back. It looks like a arrowhead. Might that be a clue to the species? I've seen that mark often when googling M.leiurus.

Why doesn't leiurus show up at pufferpedia? Or perhaps it didn't look properly.

There are several species in this...um...species of puffer...that look very similar and I think so little is written about then + scientists have differing opinions + species names have changed (basically a bunch of confusion). That why the puffer pedia is not clear on the matter. (I know that didn't not sound as scientific as it should have)

It is certainly close for me, but I see the arrow stuff on his head and that snout is long... I'd corvus was right on this one.

Ok, that makes sence. Perhaps it is a good idea to write that in the pufferpedia menu.
That there are several more species that doesn't have a profile on the pedia because of that.

As purplecandle noted, M. leiurus is a little bit of a so called garbage bin taxon, where a few possible species are included, that have not been described or re-evaluated in the last decades. So far M. leiurus are seen as the spotted, long snouted Montotrete, which are not M. barbatus/camb or M. abei.

The pufferpedia only holds the most commonly available of the more than 180 species. M. leiurus is not that common in trade.

The top one of those two is stunning, like a bronze statue, really beautiful.
